In this scene, Watts and “Diana” director Oliver Hirschbiegel recreated Di’s 1996 tour of Australia and her attendance at the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute charity ball in Sydney. Watts said she’s comfortable enough in her own skin to tackle such a challenging role.
