It sure sounds like Bill Clinton is angling to get back on the ballot as a VP candidate — the surprise is that it looks like he wants to run with Mitt Romney. The former president came out Tuesday in support of an extension of the Bush tax cuts, which is abject heresy in the Democratic Party. He declared the economy to be in “recession” and said extending tax cuts even for the wealthiest earners is vital to “find some way to avoid the fiscal cliff” before the cuts expire at year’s end.
