Architectural Digest editor Margaret Russell says the architects and designers who didn’t make her mag’s prestigious AD100 list this year mostly took their disappointment in stride. “There may have been a lot of catty things said at cocktail parties,” she cracked at a silent auction she co-hosted Wednesday to benefit AIDS charity ACRIA. “But all I got were gracious notes from those left off.” Russell said she’s planning on putting out the list “every two years.” Artists included in the “Unframed” auction at the Residences at the Setai downtown (where the penthouse venue was also up for sale for $32 million) included Jeff Koons, Ross Bleckner and Ed Ruscha. Michael Cunningham was guest curator.
