“Sex and the City” star Sarah Jessica Parker and series creator Darren Star are holding competing fund-raisers for President Obama in New York on Thursday night. Parker, teaming up with Vogue editor Anna Wintour, is throwing a party at the West Village townhouse she owns with Matthew Broderick, while Star, along with Architectural Digest editor Margaret Russell, is hosting an event at The Plaza hotel.
