Subject: 15th Anniversary of Jordan’s Flu Game Tue Jun 12, 2012 8:01 am
Fifteen years ago Monday, Michael Jordan turned in one of the most-memorable performances in NBA Finals history. Suffering from flu-like symptoms, Jordan had missed the morning shootaround and was told by the Bulls medical staff that “There’s no way you’ll be able to play Game 5.” Despite the team doctors’ words, Jordan played 44 minutes, scoring a game-high 38 points on 13-of-27 shooting. Jordan added seven rebounds, five assists and three steals in Chicago’s 90-88 Game 5 win over the Utah Jazz.
