Mariano Rivera's surgery to repair a torn right ACL "went as planned" on Tuesday. In a statement released by the PR department, the surgery was done by Dr. David Altchek and assisted by team doctor Chris Ahmad. It was an "isolated replacement of ACL with no work on the meniscus."
