Rookie pitcher Matt Harvey struck out 11 batters in his Major League debut Thursday - surpassing the team record held by Tom Seaver and Bill Denehy, who each registered nine strikeouts in their first games. Harvey gave up three hits in 5.1 innings pitched against the Arizona Diamondbacks. He was also 2-2 at the plate with a double, and left the game with a 3-0 lead.
